Dr. Sevak graduated from
Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, CA in March of 2001 at
the top of his class with both academic (Cum Laude) and clinical honors
(Clinical Excellence Award).
Dr. Sevak has extensive
experience in both fitness training (National Academy of Sports Medicine
certified personal trainer) and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and
non-athletic injuries alike.
He is the co-founder of
Omega Sport & Rehab (established in 2004) a company developed to
meet the demand for comprehensive physical rehabilitation and
enhancement of human performance through an active care model.
He as worked extensively
with professional organizations to develop back safety programs and
lectures regularly on injury prevention. To this end, Dr. Sevak writes a
bi-monthly health column for the Ventura County Star titled “To Your
Health” dedicated to the proactive health education. Municipalities and
companies he has worked with include City of San
Jose Fire and Police Departments, Conejo
Valley Unified School
District, Simi Valley
Unified School District, Rio
School District, Amgen and the
City of Thousand Oaks
among many others.
Dr. Sevak has completed
more than 50 hours of post-graduate training in industrial disability
evaluation and is currently a California State
appointed Qualified Medical Evaluator (Q.M.E.).
He received his Bachelors
Degree in physical anthropology from California State University
Northridge in December of 1993. Dr. Sevak is an avid surfer and
describes himself as a nature lover.He is married to
Tyaga, with one child and chose to settle in the Conejo Valley
in 2003 for the abundant natural resources and tight knit communities
it offers. He is a Thousand Oaks Rotarian and feels strongly about
community involvement through volunteer work; dedicating his efforts to
youth and community services.
